Mark your calendar for the Second Annual Highlands Culinary Weekend. November in Highlands will once again come alive with a variety of uniquely designed culinary events featuring chefs from near and far and exquisite wines from around the globe. Highlands’ area restaurants, accommodations and merchants are busy preparing for an array of events and activities to excite the senses. Evenings will offer creative functions and specialty dinners featuring classic and inspired menus, wine pairings, and guest chef appearances.
“Last year’s event was such an overwhelming success,” says Marlene Alvarez, owner of …on the Verandah restaurant and board member for the Highlands Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center. “We’re building on that success with more area merchants participating in this year’s event. We’ve created some new programs, like the Saturday afternoon ‘Sip & Stroll’ featuring area retailers, and sponsorship opportunities that will provide more marquee exposure for local area businesses. We look forward to surpassing last year’s success!”
